Let me just start by saying that I'm a sucker for a flower field. When I first shot Kamryn's summer session I couldn't find one to save my life! So randomly one day I was driving and found this one and text her immediately and asked if she could meet me there a few days later to get some shots. I also told her that I wanted her to wear red for a nice pop of color. I'm so glad she went along with my idea because these are some of my absolute favorite pictures.
Oh and stay tuned because Kamryn is going to kill a winter session in the snow! (Hopefully we actually get some.) Here are some of my favorites from Kamryn's flower field session.

I love getting to spend my evenings with families like this. A beautiful couple AND 3 beautiful little girls? Pure perfection if you ask me. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not short on words. I love to talk, lol. But that is a good thing right? Because that gives me a chance to really learn about my clients. I love getting to hear their stories and I especially love getting to connect with their kids. Of course little girls hold a special place in my heart. And would you just look at them? They are SO precious! Brett and Lauren are such great parents and I loved getting to see how their love shines through.
Here are some of my favorites from their session. Oh sweet summertime. I'm sad to see it go because summer sunsets make for some of the most beautiful sessions. When you couple that with the CUTEST family you have the most dreamy session. I love getting to photograph families because I get to capture the sweet, candid moments that are completely unexpected, yet turn out to be the best ones.
How cute are these boys? Cooper is the oldest and has the sweetest disposition. Not only did he do a great job taking his pictures, he was the sweetest when it came to wrangling his adorable little brother, Cam. Cam was loving the camera and of course his Buzz and Woody. This family was so comfortable in front of the camera that it made my job that much easier, (as you can see). Here are some of my favorites from my session with the Haskins family. When I made the decision to quit teaching and coaching I had no idea how hard it would be. Diving into being a photographer and a stay-at-home mom is no walk in the park but I wouldn't trade getting to be my own boss and be at home with my baby girl for anything. Thankfully photography has brought me full circle to be able to keep in touch with some of my favorite students and athletes.
Which brings me to Ethan. I had Ethan in class two years ago. He was a quiet young man at first but boy did that change. Once we got to know each other I got to see his humorous side, his athletic side, and the side that was an excellent student trying to narrow down what he wanted to do with his life beyond high school. The part that I miss the most about teaching and coaching is not getting to be there for these kids everyday. Sure they all have other teachers they can go to as well as great parents that love and support them, but there is this indescribable bond I have with them. I worry about them as a teacher and as a parent. They knew if they needed to vent about something or share an accomplishment they could come to me. I think I worry about them all a little bit more now that I am not with them all the time. I had such a great time catching up with Ethan and his mom and getting to take his senior pictures. Knowing they chose me to capture this important time in his life truly means so much. I can't wait to see where the future takes him. I know he is going to kick some major butt (Hopefully not literally, he can't afford another red card in soccer, right Ethan?). Here are a few of my favorites from Ethan's senior session. |
